Ø – Röntgen (12")

Ø – Röntgen (12")

A cornerstone of Finnish minimal techno gets the heavyweight treatment. Originally recorded by Mika Vainio in Turku in 1992, Röntgen is a masterclass in stripped-back machine music: hypnotic pulses, razor-sharp electronics and an uncompromising sense of space.

The 2026 reissue came about after DJ Sotofett admitted his original copy was wearing thin from relentless DJ use. Their solution is a full-width 12" cut at 45 RPM at Manmade in Berlin, giving this early Ø classic the power and clarity it deserves.

Backed with a previously unreleased cassette recording, this essential Sähkö Recordings release captures Vainio's singular vision at its rawest. Minimal techno in its purest form - functional, futuristic and built for serious sound systems.
