The Music Of Sound is Matthew Herbert's stand-out 1996 release on the UK electro/electronica label Clear. On this early LP Herbert honed his musique concrète (with everyday objects) tendencies without ever straying into self-indulgence - resulting in one of the first and best examples of his signature stripped down house/electronica sound.
