Lukid dissolves form and function on Underloop, a woozy, detail-rich follow-up to 2023’s Tilt. Folding his off-grid Rezzett energy into solo territory, he crafts a fractured, neon-drenched vision of experimental club music at its most tactile and elusive.

Opener ‘Toy Surge’ sets the tone with skewed arpeggios and submerged atmospheres, while ‘Chunk’ and ‘New River’ work textural grooves from scorched loops and smudged feedback. Even at its most rhythmic, the album favors nuance over force — until final track ‘Underhand Brokery’ lands with a sharp, skeletal jolt. Death Is Not The End provides the perfect home for Underloop, echoing the label’s signature time-slip sonics with Lukid’s own idiosyncratic lens.

It’s one of his most immersive and imaginative projects to date — a cracked mirror of club music, flickering with strange beauty.
