Ekowmania Meets DJ Sotofett – Dub Souljah

Ghana meets Norway in a heavyweight collision of Afrobeat, roots reggae and deep, psychedelic dub, as Ekowmania and DJ Sotofett reconnect for four seriously potent dancefloor excursions.

Building on their collaboration around Ekowmania's Dr. Afrodub, Dub Souljah finds Sotofett working his unmistakable studio magic across a rich palette of rolling percussion, blazing brass, soulful vocals and seismic basslines. "Dub Souljah" arrives in two contrasting versions: a muscular Disco Dub with classic steppers energy, and a stripped-back Ultra Dub that plunges deep into a haze of spring reverb, ghostly voices and cavernous delays.

"Afrolistic Rock&Roll" channels Tony Allen's polyrhythmic spirit into a driving Afrobeat-dub workout, while "Kuusikasi Funk" brings a looser, cosmic Afro-funk flavour, propelled by Jimi Tenor's swirling saxophone and flute.

A brilliant meeting of West African rhythm and Scandinavian dub experimentation, pressed loud and ready for sound systems, discerning DJs and adventurous ears alike.
